Virtual Walls of Linden
Art teacher Brianne Cooper feels for parents who are unable to visit the school — especially those who joined us this year who have never been inside! That’s why she launched Virtual Walls of Linden, which she introduced during a recent Greetings event. Our Virtual Walls showcase students’ latest work for the community to enjoy.
This offering features Grade 6s’ incredibly realistic graphite grid drawings of urns and apples, as well as a quick video of our Grade 5 students working on exotic drawings of lions against a swirly, vibrant backdrop.
Grades 7 and 8 classes used graphite to render realistic portraits. Students were introduced to the grid method, which they used to meticulously map out accurate proportions and details. After a series of drawing workshops in which they gained a stronger understanding and control over the media, students applied their knowledge of shading to add value and detail to their work.
Enjoy!
