Field Trip: Dream Big

At Linden, girls are encouraged to explore career possibilities that require competence in STEM subjects. Our Grade 6 and 7 students enjoyed a field trip to the Science Centre on April 27, 2017. We went to watch the IMAX movie Dream Big, which showcases how engineering solves everyday problems to make a better world. We were presented with different situations that were solved by engineers (mostly women). Examples included building bridges in Haiti, making buildings safer during earthquakes, and robotics. 

This movie had been made in partnership with the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers).
