Representing Linden's Innovative Computer Studies Program at OAME

On May 5th and 6th, Beth Alexander, Linden Teacher and Curriculum Leader, attended the annual conference of the Ontario Association of Math Educators (OAME) in Barrie. She presented a session entitled, "The Beauty of Math and Code: Python for Beginners." This workshop, attended by 30 teachers from across Ontario, was intended to introduce ways that coding can be introduced to schools without computer studies programs by integrating with regular math classes. Beth has already heard from teachers who have used the training in their own classes, and is excited to hear how students in other schools are connecting with computer programming.
