During their distance learning class for Music, Movement, and Drama, the Early Learners and Grades 1–2 class watched a video of the song "Thankful" by The Juicebox. They then brainstormed ideas on how to showcase their gratitude and thankfulness for our first responders and frontline workers, who are working tirelessly to keep us safe and healthy during this time of uncertainty.

The students came up with the idea of making thankful hearts. They also decided to make an acrostic poem (above) to accompany their thoughtful creations. These creations demonstrate a small token of their thoughts and recognition of those who are courageously supporting our communities during the pandemic.
