Rain? Mud? Difficult Climbing Courses? Linden Middle Schoolers say “Bring it!”

Linden’s middle school students shone in rainy, muddy conditions while climbing aerial obstacles at Treetop Trekking in Stouffville. The conditions made an already challenging activity even more so, making it next-level inspiring seeing our students in action. They showed tremendous peer support and good humour while tackling the arboreal challenges head-on!

“Students developed and strengthened friendships, built skills, confidence and resilience, and surprised themselves at what they were able to accomplish,” said Athletics Director Deidre Macpherson. “I’m so glad we were able to provide this experience, especially at a time when students have been missing connection with one another so keenly.”

“Today was heaps of fun!” said Sam Layton, Guidance Counsellor. “I completely forgot it was raining at times. The positive attitudes from everyone, the level of perseverance we saw from each student, and their enthusiasm for the adventure was very infectious. I'm not sure who had more fun — teachers or students!”
