Resources for Parents: Self-Care During COVID-19

In addition to our weekly online classes and teachers' office hours, Linden is offering many opportunities for connection and support for both students and parents.  Please check our schedule for clubs, dance parties, special events and more, and follow us on social media for real-time updates.

Virtual Java with Janice for Parents and Caregivers

Java with Janice continues every Thursday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. All grade levels are welcome. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join for the full hour or pop in as their schedule allows. Janice and other members of staff will be on hand to answer questions. We hope this will help you to stay up to date and in touch with Linden as we move forward with distance learning, and also provide a forum for camaraderie, conversation and mutual support.

Here are some additional opportunities for connection, community, and support:

• Guidance counsellor Elana Moscovitch has compiled a list of articles for parents to help you navigate the ongoing challenges of social distancing.
  
  
• Elana has also created Resources for Parents: Self-Care During COVID-19, a collaborative document where parents can share ideas, articles, online classes and other things that they have found helpful.
  
  
• In addition to holding regular guidance classes and meetings with groups of students, Elana has been reaching out to check in with parents by phone. If you haven't been able to connect and would like to do so, please email Elana to set up a time.
  
  
• To make it easy to connect with one another, each year Parent Volunteer Coordinator Caron To compiles our Community Directory which contains contact information for most families. We strongly encourage you to reach out to others and enable them to reach out to organize social events and activities. If you haven't already, please consider sharing your contact information, but do read the preamble so that you fully understand the parameters.
