Each year, about two-thirds of our community members volunteer their time and expertise at Linden. According to our last parent survey, many more would if they only had the time to do so.

We are truly grateful to all of our volunteers who have contributed to Linden and our daily school life this year. With your help, we were able to manage a large number of events and initiatives this year:

  • Grade parent representation
  • Grade 8 Information Evening
  • Curriculum Evening
  • Parent breakfasts and socials
  • Advancement Committee
  • Math Mavens and Science Sisters Event
  • Open house events and serving as a Parent Ambassador
  • Distributing marketing material
  • Serving as a media spokesperson for Linden
  • Organizing and managing Linden Wear sale
  • Gardening
  • Science Fair
  • Spring Rejuvenation
  • Music Night
  • Drama Evenings
  • Book Sale
  • Career Day
  • Art Show

Special mention goes to our Board members, who put in a great deal of volunteer time behind the scenes to oversee school operations. Teachers and staff also work beyond their contractual expectations to put in volunteer time. Our special thanks to Monika Joslin for organizing the sale of Linden Wear this year. This was a huge project spearheaded by Monika single-handedly!

Without all this, Linden would not function as it does. These contributions transform Linden from an institution to the vibrant community that our daughters have come to love so much.

And it is this kind of passion and commitment that turns people’s heads. It is why our enrollment keeps growing and why our hoped-for $40,000 in donations ballooned to over $168,000 this year. There are clearly so many people who believe in our mission and philosophy and think Linden is well worth their time and money. We thank all of our supporters from the bottom of our hearts!

A huge thank you to Parent Volunteer Coordinator Caron To, who kept us organized this year. Caron is showing off the brand new Linden cotton tote bag that served as an appreciation gift for our volunteers. If you missed the event, feel free to pick up your tote bag when you next visit Linden!
