Mental Health & Well-being
Empowering students and faculty to thrive with resilience and self-awareness.
Linden students benefit from our partnership with the Lean In Girls Leadership Program, which offers mentorship and leadership opportunities that reinforce SEL principles, building confidence, self-advocacy, and positive relationship skills. Through workshops and hands-on experiences, students learn how to manage emotions, set goals, and navigate challenges with resilience. This partnership empowers students to prioritize their mental well-being and equips them to make a positive impact within their school community and beyond.
Strong Partnerships Support Both Students and Faculty
Faculty also benefit from SEL-focused resources, which include workshops on emotional intelligence, communication, and stress management. Additionally, clinical psychologist and mental health advocate Dr. Monica Vermani provides ongoing support through workshops and regular office hours. She recently explored the origins of negative thoughts and strategies for reframing them to promote healthier mindsets. This in-person and online session offers faculty valuable tools for their mental health, enhancing their ability to model SEL competencies for students.
Prioritizing Empathy, Resilience, Mental Well-Being for Lifelong Success
Dr. Vermani’s office hours further reinforce this approach, giving faculty one-on-one access to mental health support and SEL coaching. These help them address personal challenges, develop self-regulation strategies, and strengthen their capacity to create emotionally supportive classrooms. With our focus on mental health and well-being, Linden equips students and faculty with essential SEL skills, fostering a community where empathy, resilience, and mental well-being are prioritized for lifelong success.
