Linden Students Participate in Nicola's Kids Triathlon
By Gary Marchanton, Linden Teacher
Congratulations to Maya, Criona, and Addy. After weeks of training, on Sunday, June 11, 2017, they participated in Nicola's Kids Triathlon. With temperatures soaring above 30 degrees, they were happy to start the race and hit the pool, swimming 200m. But that was short-lived, as they soon found themselves cycling hard for 8km, followed by a 3km run. Each girl showed true grit and determination.
This past Sunday, Criona went one step further and participated in the Junior Spartan obstacle course race at Brimacombe. Criona slogged 1.5 km up the ski slopes, not once, but three times, completing various obstacles in what must have been the sloppiest, muddiest conditions imaginable. Lots of fun and memories for all.
