I want to introduce myself to the world of early learning and teaching—my name is Savannah Barker. I am enthusiastic about bringing my positive energy and whole-hearted love of learning and teaching to Linden. I hope to foster a similar love of learning among the students.

I have a Masters in Child Study and Education from OISE/UT, as well as a BSc in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. My independent school teaching experience comes from my year-long role as the Grade 3 teacher at Royal St. George’s College, a boys independent school, and a short-term position as the Physical Education teacher at the Jackman Institute of Child Study at the University of Toronto.

I bring with me a passion for creating hands-on learning opportunities inside and outside of the classroom. I am excited to integrate the best practices for girls’ education into Linden’s inquiry-based kindergarten program. I look forward to using this blog to represent the journey that the Early Learners take this year, and am excited for you to join us as well!
