Halloween Fun — 2020 Style!

Despite distancing, cohorting and other safety measures, Linden students and staff threw themselves into the Halloween spirit, finding imaginative ways to enjoy the season!

Everyone came to school in costume. Highlights included our younger students going out for a costume parade to show off their costumes to our community neighbours. The whole school participated over Zoom in a Halloween edition of Jeopardy, led by the Grade 5 class. It was a tight race, but in the end, 7A was crowned winner.

Melody's Grade 5s also staged a classroom door decorating contest, handing out decorations which they had planned and purchased in advance. Hallways were transformed into a haunted schoolhouse with cobwebs and caution tape lining every door frame. After the decorations were in place, the senior students made their way through the school to distribute sanitized knick-knacks to the eager Trick-or-Treaters — using lacrosse sticks to maintain distancing.

Grade 7B had one of the scariest doors in our Halloween door decorating contest!

Our Early Learners were hard at work to make their doorway the spookiest in the school.
