Experiential Learning at Linden: Senior Week Without Walls

Posted by Admin on October 15, 2015

The Linden School provides students with valuable learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. Each fall, as part of our experiential learning program, we devote an entire "Week Without Walls" to carefully selected field trips for our students. This not only enriches our overall curriculum, but also provides an important opportunity for community building during the early weeks of school.

Adventures at Camp Wahanowin

The grades 7-11 ventured north to Camp Wahanowin this fall for some action-packed outdoor educational experiences. They challenged themselves physically and mentally on both water and land: canoe, kayak, team ropes, rock climbing, trapeze, hiking, mountain biking, and more! It was wonderful to see our Linden students enjoying the outdoors, taking risks on challenging activities, and encouraging their peers day in and day out. Fall camp is also a great way for our various grades to bond and build relationships with students from many grades. We thank Grade 11 students who took on an important leadership role as camp counsellors for the Grades 7-10.

Note: Grade 12 students participate in an overseas trip towards the end of the academic year and therefore have classes during this week.
