Big Wins for Students at the Toronto Science Fair!

On Sunday, March 25, 2018, several Linden students attended the annual city-wide Science Fair, held at the Scarborough campus of the University of Toronto. 

Congratulations to the following students who received awards:

Emma Dunleavy-Lachmann, Grade 9, received a bronze medal for her study about the effect of whitening toothpaste on teeth.

Julia Glover, Grade 9, received a silver medal for her study about the effect of temperature on enzymes.

Minali Bhuyan, Grade 7, received a special award from the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) for her study about the effectiveness of inexpensive household items in the removal of bacteria from river water. WEAO commended her on her work and stated that it “demonstrated exceptional research, knowledge and scientific thought on a water environmental related topic.”

We are so proud of our students and their outstanding work in STEM subjects!
