2021 Virtual Art Show showcases Linden students’ creativity and talent
On May 31, 2021, Art teacher Brie Cooper brought the work of Linden’s students to life through an interactive website. The virtual audience browsed artwork from students of all grades, while reading about various artistic methods, theories and materials.
Throughout the year, Linden students drew inspiration from artists like Emily Carr, Roy Lichtenstein, Georgia O’Keefe, and Piet Mondrian. Some of our younger artists spent time learning and making collages that represent themselves, as well as 3D self-portraits. Older students explored the theories of Cubism, Grid drawing, and Koru Art.
Viewers also got to see some passion projects from students of all ages, as well as online portfolios for each of our high school art students. The Art Show website also includes videos showing our students’ individual artistic processes, eloquent reflections, and some tutorials for the audience to try at home.
