Last week junior students visited the David Wilson Memorial schoolyard garden, a beautiful community and educational space that provides hands-on activities for students.
The class started the day by shoveling mulch and meeting the garden chickens. Then they learned about diverse edible plants and assembled salads from the garden bounty. The girls worked together to water the garden and ended the day by watering themselves with a run through the sprinkler.
We enjoyed this fantastic learning experience immensely. A huge thank you to Adam from PACT Community Garden for hosting us!
