To continue our annual tradition, Linden students will visit the YWCA 1st Stop Woodlawn Shelter on Thursday, November 17th for a fall clean-up. YWCA’s 1st Stop Woodlawn Shelter provides free shelter and support to women 16 years of age and older who are homeless or in immediate crisis.

To help in the success of this event, students in all grades are asked to bring any of the following items (for use on the day):

  • gardening gloves (extra pairs should have your name on them)
  • rakes or leaf claws
  • dust pans
  • donations of yard waste bags

Want to give more?

The shelter staff have also expressed interest in donations of any of the following items:

  • shampoo
  • soap
  • toothpaste
  • toothbrushes
  • deodorant
  • sanitary pads (they have a lot of tampons already)
  • fresh fruits or vegetables

If you have any questions, please contact Soteira. Donated items can be dropped off in Room 307.
