Linden's First Used Book Sale
By Savannah Barker, Early Learning Program Teacher
The Linden School's first Used Book Sale was a huge success. A big thank you to the Linden families and community members who brought in old (and new) books for the sale. We needed a big crew of volunteers at our Spring Rejuvenation event to sort through and organize the books, of which we had over 600. The Early Learners, Grades 1–2, parent volunteers, and Ainsley, Bridgit, and Serena in Grade 6 had a lot of fun making signs and displaying all of the books for the sale.
In total, we sold over 350 books and raised close to $400. We are excited to use these funds to purchase new Indigenous education resources for the school.
Thank you to all of the teachers and parents who helped keep the books tidy during the sale and helped clean up at the end of the day. We are already looking forward to next year's sale. Stay tuned to hear about the Indigenous education resources we will be acquiring soon.
