On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, students in Grades 3–6 visited the Ontario Legislative Building where they met Dr. Jill Andrew, the MPP for Toronto-St. Paul's — Linden's riding!

She was especially excited to talk to a group of girls about her experiences as a Black woman identifying with the LGBTQ+ community in politics. We enjoyed a tour and learned about the history of the building. Students were quick to comment on the number of fires that happened in the building’s history and the lack of women in the paintings. Students also acted as MPPs in the mini-chamber where they debated our school’s start time.

Take a look at the photos and see if you can find our own Linden versions of Speaker of the House, Sergeant-At-Arms, and more!
