Linden's junior school class made the trip downtown to the courts at Old City Hall to visit an Aboriginal Persons Court that has been set up to address historical disadvantage and discrimination. The girls were introduced to the justice system and were able to ask questions about the court process. In addition to observing the courts they spoke with a Crown prosecutor and a defense lawyer.

Justice Greene, judge and Linden parent, points out that "People can't have confidence in our legal system if they don't see it at work, and having faith in the system is a requirement for the system to work. Teaching constitutional rights are the most important thing to learn and it should be taught as early as possible."

Thank you to Mara and all of the court staff who organized our trip and welcomed us so warmly!
