Which teachers would YOU like to see have a pillow fight? Help children with childhood cancer!

I was born with neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer, and I was in treatment for the first eight months of my life. Each year I celebrate a birthday not only on the day I was born, but also on the day I became cancer free.

Please join me and the Linden teachers in a fundraising event to help the children who benefit from the research and care provided by the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario.

Here’s how you and your daughter can help:

Bring a loonie or toonie to school — as many as you want. In Nancy Hurst’s office, you will find a jar for each participating teacher. Vote for the teacher or teachers YOU want to see in a pillow fight in their pyjamas by placing your coins in the jar. The two teachers who receive the most votes will square off at a very special All-School on January 25th — AND any teacher who receives one or more votes will wear their pyjamas to school on that date. You can vote any day except Wednesday. Voting closes at the end of October.

Community members can also donate via my fundraising page: www.lilahsfund.com, which has raised over $750,000 to support scientific research at SickKids since inception.

Thank you for your support!
