EL–Grade 2 Portfolio Showcase

We have created a portfolio for each student that highlights a number of great learning experiences and examples of their work. EL–Grade 2 families are invited to spend the morning reviewing these portfolios. 

Schedule:

8:30 AM–9:30 AM: We will host families in the classrooms, where students will have a chance to share their portfolios with their families.

9:30 AM–9:50 AM: While students spend recess in the rooftop playground, you are welcome to go for a short coffee break or stay and ask any questions you might have about the end of this school year, summertime, or the coming school year.

9:50 AM–11:25 AM: We will get the students organized (bathroom, outdoor gear, etc.) and we will all walk over to the park for a family picnic. We invite you to bring a picnic blanket, some favourite books, and a nut-free snack to contribute to the picnic. We will have a snack together, and then the students will have the chance to play at the playground. We will stay at the park until 11:25 AM and walk back to the school for regular lunchtime and afternoon classes.
