At Linden, parent volunteers play a vital role within the
school's programme. Studies indicate that the more a parent is involved at their
child's school, the more engaged the child is in the school community.
We
encourage parents to offer help in areas that really interest them and to which they
are able to commit. School teams depend upon parent drivers. The Linden Library
is run largely by our parents. Willing listeners provide a public ear for young
scientists at our Science and Technology Fair. Without the support of parents and friends of Linden as guest speakers, The Linden School Career
Day could not exist. If you can offer expertise in marketing, commun-
ications, editing, legal and financial advice, or as volunteers for a specific task; whatever choice you make, your contribution will make a world of difference!

We welcome volunteers at The Linden
School in many capacities, from the volunteer-organised library
staff, to driving for a sports team or club, to helping events such as our Sci-Tech Fair and Art Show run smoothly. We would like to remind
everyone, however, that as a Linden Volunteer you become an
active member of the Linden community. We ask that all parent
volunteers are familiar with the Linden
Mission Statement, and incorporate Linden's values of
excellence, equality, equity, justice, and service as you
work with fellow parents and students at the school.
