ELEMENTARY FRENCH TEACHER

We are seeking a full-time, elementary French teacher with a background in teaching a second language to children. Experienced and certified Ontario teachers with a background in women's studies and/or multicultural studies and able to apply girl-centred teaching and learning strategies are especially encouraged to apply.

PART TIME I/S DRAMA TEACHER

AFTER SCHOOL CARE& LUNCH ROOM SUPERVISOR/ ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANE

To be the after-school care and lunch room coordinator at a small, community oriented all-girls school. This position also entails various clerical and administrative support duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, organize and supervise the after-school care programme
  • Supervise and maintain the school lunch room
  • Supervise our annual summer camp
  • Work closely with the general office manager to complete various clerical and building maintenance tasks
  • Assist with special school events
  • Work closely with the guidance counselor to complete documentation for the Ministry of Education
  • Supply for faculty members as needed or assist on school field trips
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Is able to support the girl-centred mission of the school 
  • Previous work experience in day cares or with primary/junior students preferred
  • Friendly, warm and welcoming
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Competancy with computer applications (i.e. word processing, Microsoft Publisher, spreadsheets, databases)
Salary: $25,000

Work Hours: 10am-6pm, not including special events

This is a one year, full-time contract beginning at the end of August 2012. There is an opportunity for renewal.
