We encourage Linden friends and community
members to volunteer their time and expertise in the following
ways:
Financial:
- Contribute to, and assist with, our Annual Giving Fund efforts;
- Identify and introduce potential donors who may be willing to make a major gift to the school;
- Write to, and approach, local businesses about donating products to the school (e.g. books, playground equipment,
gardening supplies, furniture, computers); or
- Coordinate fundraising events for the Linden community (e.g. raffles, silent auctions).
Recruitment & Publicity:
- Introduce a new family to the school;
- Identify venues and opportunities for Linden to hold information
sessions for new families;
- Volunteer as an ambassador for Linden or speak at our
promotional events (e.g. open houses, school fairs); or
- Distribute our promotional materials in your neighbourhood,
daycare centres and feeder schools.
Programming & Special Events
- Organize school events such as Career Day or Take Your
Daughter to Work Day;
- Host grade nine Linden students on Take Your Daughter
to Work Day;
- Speak at Linden special events, such as International
Women's Day or Career Day;
- Lead educational workshops for your daughter's class or
professional development workshops for the faculty;
- Volunteer in our Library;
or
- Supervise a class field trip.
Professional Services
- We are looking for individuals with expertise in the following areas that would be
willing to donate their time to share their knowledge with us: financial/fundraising,
publicity/media, legal assistance/advice, building maintenance, etc.
