What are Linden's admission procedures and criteria?

Unlike many independent and private schools, Linden does not limit admission to specified grades. Students are admitted in all years, Grades 1 through 12. Admission during the school year is at the discretion of the principals.

The school is looking for students capable of meeting its high academic standards, who enjoy sharing their interests and ideas, and who demonstrate the potential to be active participants in the Linden community.

Linden does not require SSATs but asks for school transcripts and confidential recommendations. Potential students and their parents are also interviewed. The school holds an admissions day in February on which applicants to Grade 4-12 write Linden's academic assessment. Students unable to attend admissions day can arrange to meet these requirements on another date.

Linden does not allow potential parents and students to sit in and observe regular classes. The school encourages interested families to make the best use of the open houses offered during the school year. Girls may also take advantage of regular Make a Friend Days which enable them to participate in the learning enironment - albeit briefly.
